The ruffles are the best part because they add some great texture and movement. I did have to steam it for a solid twenty minutes to get the wrinkles out from shipping, so make sure you leave enough time for that.

I needed something elegant for a formal charity gala last month and decided to give this one a shot. The mermaid cut is gorgeous, but heads up, it is definitely fitted! I had to wear some good shapewear underneath to feel completely confident, but once I did, I felt amazing. The strapless top stayed up surprisingly well, I wasn't pulling at it all night, which is a total miracle. The colour looks exactly like the photos, really rich and vibrant.

My only small gripes are that the zipper was a bit sticky at the very top, and shipping took a few days longer than I'd hoped.

The satin is thick enough to keep you warm, which was a nice plus. However, because it's strapless and a bit heavy, by the end of the night after hours of dancing, I was pretty much ready to take it off. It’s definitely a 'stand and look pretty' dress rather than a 'dance all night' dress. Still, the photos turned out amazing, so I’m super happy with the purchase.

The satin fabric feels surprisingly heavy and nice, not cheap or flimsy at all. It fit pretty well right out of the package, though I did need to get it hemmed a bit since I'm on the shorter side.
