Bought this for my daughter's wedding and the dark colour is stunning in person. It does run a tiny bit long so I wore higher heels, and the zipper needs a gentle pull around the waist seam. Overall extremely comfortable even after sitting through the dinner and speeches.

I was worried the velvet would be too heavy for an indoor reception but it actually breathes surprisingly well. The one-shoulder cut is super flattering and the ruching hides my tummy perfectly. Had to steam it carefully because it arrived with some creases from the packaging, but totally worth it.

I was honestly a little nervous about buying a velvet dress online since you never know if the fabric is going to look cheap or too shiny, but this one really surprised me.
