This was my dress for a high school reunion gala. I wanted to look great but not like I was trying too hard. The velvet material is super forgiving and smooths everything out. The long sleeves were awesome because I'm a bit self-conscious about my arms. The sweetheart neckline drew attention up, and the little sparkles added a fun vibe. I danced a ton that night and the dress moved with me pretty well, though the mermaid bottom does restrict your leg movement a bit if you try to do anything crazy.

I bought this for my grade 12 prom and I'm so glad I did. I wanted something different from the usual tulle dresses everyone else wears. The velvet gives it a really classic, old Hollywood vibe.
