This dress is a total win for curvy girls! I struggle so much finding formal wear that fits my hips without gaping at the waist, but the stretch in this material made it mould to my body really well. I wore this to a military ball with my husband, and I felt so confident. The trumpet style kicks out at just the right spot above the knee, so walking is easy—you don't have to do that awkward shuffle. One thing to note is that because it's satin, you really need to wear seamless underwear. Even with the thicker fabric, regular lines will show through. I grabbed some shapewear, and it smoothed everything out perfectly. The halter neck is also super comfortable and didn't dig into my neck like some others do. I'm thinking about buying it in another colour for a cruise we have coming up.
