Velvet can sometimes look cheap, but this is that really nice, plush, high-end looking velvet. It feels super luxurious.

The sweetheart neckline has a perfect cut: not too low, not too high. I felt super secure throughout the event and didn't have to keep pulling it up, which is something I find really annoying with strapless dresses.
