I’m a plus-size gal and shopping for formal wear is usually a nightmare. I took a chance on this for my niece's wedding and was pleasantly surprised. It actually gave me a shape! The way the fabric lays across the stomach area is pretty forgiving. I did have to wear some shapewear underneath just to smooth things out, but that’s standard for satin. The colour is rich and deep. I felt confident all night and didn't feel like I was stuffed into a sausage casing. Two thumbs up from me.

The material has no stretch, so definitely measure yourself first! I felt super glamorous walking in. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because the colour was slightly darker in person than on my screen, but honestly, it was still a gorgeous shade. I’ll definitely be finding another excuse to wear this soon.

It has this elegant drape to it that makes you feel super put-together. The zipper was a little stiff at first, but after running some wax over it, it was good to go. I was comfortable sitting and dancing all night, which is pretty rare for formal wear. It’s a solid choice if you don't want to spend thousands but still want to look high-end.

I ordered this for a charity auction event. I wanted something that looked sophisticated. The one-shoulder design is super chic. I was worried the long sleeve would make me too hot in a crowded room, but the fabric breathes way better than I expected. The quality is solid, though there were a couple of loose threads I had to snip off when I opened the package. Nothing major. It’s a very elegant gown that requires minimal jewellery because the dress speaks for itself. Solid purchase.
