The fabric has a nice weight to it and the skirt is wonderfully full, giving off a real princess vibe. I took it to my local seamstress just to get the hem taken up a tiny bit since I'm pretty short. She mentioned the satin is a bit finicky to work with, but overall it's a beautiful piece. Just be prepared to maybe need a slight alteration if you aren't very tall.
